The Nonya Kebaya is a traditional costume worn by Nonya women in the Peranakan Culture from Malaysia.
The kebaya is a fitted or semi-fitted embroidered blouse with intricate hand-embroidered patterns and often made of fine materials like silk or batik fabric. It has a front opening with button or hook-and-eye closures and is usually worn with a camisole underneath.
It is often worn with a beautiful Sarong with batik designs or can suit your favourite bottoms like pants, tights, shorts or skirts for a modern take on traditional clothing.
